Degrading value system is causing irreparable damage to our social fabric and cultural ethos. As a result, deviant behavior, intolerance, crime, corruption, violence is on the rise. There is an increasing need to inculcate values like Compassion, sympathy, empathy, tolerance, cooperation and coexistence in children.
Santi Trust has been closely working with the stakeholders to conduct the Value Education program at the primary school level. Along with value education Santi Trust is also trying to help develop cognitive and learning abilities of children such as correct pronunciation, ability to reproduce by hearing, taking dictation, etc. legible, clear and proper handwriting, ability to identify- letters, words, sentence, number etc. correctly through various recreational activities. The above effort is done keeping in mind that learning and academic development is very critical for overall personality development of a child.
Since its inception, Santi trust has been working closely with children. Santi Trust has taken up Value Education Programme as its core activity and the goal is to develop appropriate attitude, behavior and personality amongst the children by using various participatory methods.
Keeping in view availability of time and convenience of each school, the schedule of activities is fixed. During vacations, the programmes are conducted in the community to maintain the continuity with supervisory input from the organisation.

Keeping in mind the multi-lingual community scenario and the present day requirement of ability to communicate in languages like English or Hindi, it has become imperative that children master the skills of communicating in these languages. Young ones pick up new languages much faster than later stages of life hence they are taught these languages. These endeavors in turn help in learning other subjects for which the learning materials are only available in English. This helps the students in their future educational pursuits.
